About Me

A Bit about the Bloggerette

As a youth services librarian in the mighty Midwest. I do library programming for babies, children and teenagers. Youth services is my specialty; however, I work with a diverse population including the elderly, immigrants, mothers, professional workers, college students, transient adults... anybody and everybody who finds their way to the public library.

I love my job! Working with the public is stressful but I know that I, and the library, make a difference in people's lives. For some, that difference is substantial. I wish it was so for more people but resources aren't what they used to be.

Please support your library! Get a card. Look around. Check something out. Ask librarians what all you can do with your card. Ask about what's new. You may be surprised at how your library has changed if you haven't been in a few years. Show your support and check out your library today!

  4. I see that we share many favorite authors, so I'll be "following you" presently. And I will take the advice you proffer in your blogs about marketing (and that you model convincingly here) by crafting myself a more extensive bio. tomorrow. Thank you so much for sharing your experience, and for 'blogging your talk'.

  6. Hi Chelle! It's nice to meet you. Not only are we both LIS students, but it sounds like our motivations to blog and our taste in books are similar as well.

  7. Hi, don't know if you're aware but this blog Jiminiy's books has copied at least one of your posts verbatim, I say at least one as they've copied over a dozen of mine. I've asked them to stop & remove stating copyright.

  8. Hey Chelle,

I wanted to let you know that I would like to use your graphic for short story Saturday on my blog. If you don't want me to use please email me @booksnobsblog at gmail dot com.

I anticipate using it about 1-4 times a year. If you would like me to link back your blog, I can and will if you let me know.

    Thanks.
